Norfolk Baseball Academy established the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate League (MACL) in the Summer of 2016 with a commitment to providing collegiate athletes a competitive, development-focused environment that emphasizes quality repetitions, player growth, and long-term player health. Built with a player-first mindset, our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for athletes to continue developing their skills while minimizing the risk of overuse and injury. By emphasizing limited travel and local competition, the MACL provides players with the opportunity to compete consistently, recover properly, and continue their development without the physical demands often associated with traditional summer baseball. We believe the purpose of summer baseball is not only to compete, but to prepare athletes to return to their respective college programs healthy, confident, and ready for the season ahead. Above all, the MACL is dedicated to fostering a professional summer baseball experience rooted in accountability, competition, player wellness, and respect for the game.
